Newark Swimming Club

About Us

We are a friendly swimming club of nearly 200 members, whose aim is to develop the swimming skills, stamina, and speed of all of our members.  

Affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association, we are a competitive club and encourage all of our swimmers to take part in competitions, either at our internal club championships, in inter club competitions or in Open events.

We want all of our swimmers to achieve the best they can, and to improve on their ‘personal best’ times.  However we also believe it’s important for our swimmers to enjoy training and make new friends.  

As well as our younger swimmers, we also have a healthy Masters section for those swimmers who are over 25.

Many of our swimmers at the club compete at Midland and Nottinghamshire level, or take part in Open Meetings.  We also encourage our swimmers to trial and swim with the Nottinghamshire training squad (Nova Centurion).

Based at The Grove Sports Centre in London Road, New Balderton, Newark, we currently train on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings.
