17 swimmers competed for #TeamNewark at Mansfield Water Meadows for Round 1 of the Nottinghamshire 8-11yr Stage 1 Gala on Saturday evening. 

 

Newark’s first time back in this competition for 8 years, saw each swimmer give their all in every race & supported their teammates throughout.

 

The result was a fantastic 2nd place:

 

1st – Nottingham Leander ‘A’ – 202pts

2nd – Newark – 158pts 

3rd – Sutton ‘A’ – 148pts

4th – Nottingham Leander ‘B’ – 146pts

5th – Worksop – 94pts

6th – Nottingham Northern – 45pts

 

Newark achieved 8x1st, 7x2nd, 9x3rd, 11x4th & 3x5th places, showing great depth. Bring on the next round!
