Team Manager – Newark Swimming Club

At Newark Swimming Club, a Swim England-trained Team Manager plays a key role in supporting our swimmers and coaches at competitions. They are the organised, safeguarding-focused adult who ensures our swimmers are safe, supervised, and in the right place at the right time throughout the event.

What a Team Manager does at NSC

  • Supervises Newark SC swimmers between races
  • Makes sure athletes arrive at marshalling on time
  • Communicates with coaches, officials, and parents
  • Handles practical and logistical issues on the day
  • Provides calm, supportive pastoral care to help swimmers stay prepared and confident
  • Allows coaches to focus fully on performance, race strategy, and athlete development

Training & Requirements

All NSC Team Managers complete the Swim England Team Manager online course and must hold an enhanced DBS before taking on the role.
