Dukeries Swimming Squad

Training Time: Mondays 6.30-7.30pm               Location: Dukeries Leisure Centre Ability: Intermediate 2 (Swim England Stage 6) and beyond. Ages: 7 +

After a successful pilot scheme in partnership with Swim England and Active4Today in the Autumn of 2025, the decision was made to create a permanent squad at the Dukeries starting in January 2026. The squad trains in line with the Newark Skills and Development Squads. We’re hopeful that as time goes on, we can really establish swimming in the local community and begin to offer additional times, days, and age groups.

Swimmers at the Dukeries session are able to access additional sessions at Newark if they wish, and the same applies to swimmers at Newark. It’s all part of the same club. The Dukeries squad will also have opportunities to try competitive swimming, in line with their ability, throughout the season.
