2026 COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS SUMMARY

What a great 3 weekends of competition for Team Newark at the 2026 Nottinghamshire ASA County Championships.

A breakdown of all the results can be found on our Instagram and Facebook posts throughout the Championships. But in summary, after the 5 days of individual racing, we competed in 148 Races achieving 129 Personal Bests, 44 Top 10 finishes, Reached 29 Finals and Won 10 Medals (5 Gold, 3 Silver, 2 Bronze).

The fun ‘Relays Day’ finished off the Championships in style (races and attire)! With 56 swimmers forming 34 relay teams, it’s testament to the growth of the club over the past year due to the commitment of the swimmers with support from Coaches, Volunteers & Parents. From 34 Heats, we reached 13 Finals and 6 x Top 3 (2 Silver, 4 Bronze).

New Club Records:

13 different swimmers broke long course club records across the Championships!

Male (5 swimmers)

Sasha R 23, Matias M 8, Isaac F 2, James F 2 Thomas H 2. Total = 37

Female (8 swimmers)

Lucia C 4, Liberty H 4, Ruby N 3, Katie M 2, Frankie F 1, Olivia H 1, Martha H 1, Liv S 1. Total = 17

World Aquatic Points:

Every race time at a competitive meet has a World Aquatics points score. WA Points allow comparison of results between different events (not age graded). 

Team Newark had 5 swims achieving over 500 points (Lucia C 2, Katie M 2, Thomas H 1).

Sasha R was top overall Male 10/11 years World Aquatics Points Winner.
