County Championships 2025 Summary - Day 1 & 2 Success

Team Newark had an incredible 9 qualifiers competing at the first weekend of the 2025 Nottinghamshire ASA County Championships.

For many it was their first County Championships & their first long course competition, gaining invaluable competitive experience at a high level. Our swimmers showed great effort and skill in achieving long course PB’s in every race. Also several qualification times for the 2026 championships already!

Special mentions to:

Sasha Romanovskij winning the Age 10/11 Male 200m Breast (3:18.76mins), 4th (34.57secs) in 50m Freestyle Final & 6th (1:27.84mins) in 100m Backstroke.

Lucia Chivers time (29.77secs) in the Age 13 Female 50m Freestyle Final, was quick enough to have medalled in both the 14yrs & 15yrs Finals!

James Forgione finishing 6th (36.42 secs) in the Age 10/11 Male 50m Freestyle Final.

Thomas Ho was the 4th fastest (26.55secs) 17yr old Male in the Age 16+ 50m Freestyle.
