Training Kit Requirements (All Squads)

Every squad swimmer needs the following core items for every session. These help with safety, hygiene, hydration, technique, and performance. Label everything clearly with your name.

Swim Costume / Jammers
Appropriate chlorine-resistant training suit (not baggy beachwear). One-piece for girls, jammers or briefs for boys – fitted for minimal drag.

Goggles
Good-fitting, anti-fog goggles to protect eyes from chlorine. Bring a spare pair in case of breakage or fogging.

Swim Hat / Cap
Silicone cap preferred (durable and comfortable). – helps keep hair out and reduces drag.

Drinks Bottle
At least 0.5 litre, leak-proof sports bottle. Stay hydrated during long sessions – water or squash recommended.

Training Fins
Short or medium-blade training fins (e.g., zoomers-style or Arena Powerfin / Speedo / FINIS models). Great for kick technique, speed work, and building leg strength – avoid long scuba fins.

Kickboard
Standard foam kickboard (medium size, e.g., Speedo, Arena, TYR, or FINIS). Used for kick sets to isolate legs and improve kick power/endurance.

Net Bag / Mesh Bag
Mesh kit bag to carry wet gear and allow it to drain/dry. Essential for keeping your locker tidy and gear hygienic.

Additional Items (Master, Fitness and County Performance)

Pull buoy (for pull sets and body position)

Hand paddles (small)

Centre-mount snorkel (for stroke correction)
