NSC Mini Meet

Newark Swimming Club held its first Mini Meet on Saturday 29th June.  It was a great way to introduce our young member aged between 7 to 11 years old to the world of competitive swimming and to gain experience of just what to expect at competitions.

It was a great atmosphere with lots of clapping, shouts of support and encouragement by parents, other swimmers and the volunteers who helped out on the day.  We also welcomed attendees of Southwell Swimming Club  who also took part in the event.

Head coach Adam commented, "great job from our junior swimmers at the mini meet...  Wonderful to see them all enjoying themselves and swimming fast".

The results have been e-mailed to the parents.

Many thanks to all that took part, helped out on the day and assisted in the organisation of the event. 

The next club competition is Saturday 28th September with details coming out in the next few weeks. It will be open to all members within the club aged 7+ and will have 25s, 50s for all 4 strokes and a 100IM (25 fly, 25 back, 25 breast and 25 front crawl).
