Medal Table (Interested in Helping)

Description: Responsible for the organisation and handing out of the medals to swimmers from the swimming results list provided by the event organiser. Duties include setting up the medal table, ensuring correct medals are given to the swimmers and recorded. 

Refreshment Duty (Interested in Helping)

Description: Responsibilities include preparing and serving drinks and sweets/snacks during the event.

Raffle Coordinator (Interested in Helping)

Description: Duties include arranging prizes, selling raffle tickets before and during the event, drawing the winning tickets, and ensuring all proceeds are collected and handed over to the club treasurer. 

Timekeeper (Interested in Helping)

Description: To record the finishing times of swimmers using stopwatches or electronic timing pads. The timekeepers are closely supported by the Chief Timekeeper and Stroke Judges. To record the times on the provided sheets or system.

Team Manager (Interested in Helping)

Description: Oversees the swimming team’s participation in the competition. Responsibilities include ensuring all swimmers are registered and checked-in, managing the team seating area, communicating any changes or swimmer withdrawals to the officials, providing support and motivation to the swimmers, and liaising between coaches and parents. Must have completed the Foundation Safeguarding Course for Adults and also have a DBS Check

J1 (Judge 1) (Interested in Helping)

Description: Acts as a technical judge for swimming events. Responsible for observing strokes, turns, and finishes to ensure swimmers comply with the rules of their stroke (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly). Must have completed the Foundation Safeguarding Course for Adults. Works under the Chief Referee and provides fair, consistent, and accurate decisions.

J2 (Judge 2) (Interested in Helping)

Description: Supports the judging team by fulfilling a secondary technical judging role or assisting with specific duties such as turn judging, finish judging, or stroke verification. Also requires completion of relevant training (including safeguarding awareness). Helps maintain the integrity and fairness of the competition.
