Newark Swimming Club offers a supportive and progressive competition pathway. There is no pressure to compete. Full coaching support is available for those who want to race — from fun local events right up to county, regional, and national championships.

Club Championships

The perfect place to start racing.

Internal competitions hosted by Newark SC for our own club swimmers. A friendly, low-pressure environment to experience your first races, try different events, and build confidence.

Team Galas

The next step up — representing the club.

Selected swimmers travel to race against other clubs. Includes both individual and relay events. A fantastic way to build team spirit in a supportive squad environment.

Open Meets

Choose your own events.

A squad travels to competitions hosted by other clubs. Swimmers can select their preferred events. These meets usually last from a half day to a full weekend.

Championship Meets

County → Regional → National

Prestigious qualification-based meets held throughout the year. Swimmers must achieve qualifying times to enter. A major milestone in any swimmer’s journey.

The highlight of qualification success.
Nothing beats standing on the podium after all the hard training and achieving your goals.
